INVESTING IN OUR COMMUNITIES
In our concentrated effort to support the needs of our region, the RREDC has formed committees composed of community leaders and development advocates. Meeting semi-monthly, our committees continuously work toward regional economic goals.
Business Retention/Expansion and Attraction/Recruitment Committee
The committee serves as a resource for local businesses interested in expanding their operations, and supports entrepreneurism and innovation within our local communities. The committee also works to identify target businesses and industries for recruitment efforts and serves as a first point of contact for companies interested in locating or expanding within the region.
New Castle Economic Advisory Committee
The committee works in partnership with the Town of New Castle, the New Castle Chamber of Commerce, and the Rifle Regional Economic Development Corporation to promote economic growth and opportunities for the town.
Grand Valley Economic Development Committee
In a joint effort with the Town of Parachute, the Parachute / Battlement Mesa Area Chamber of Commerce, Battlement Mesa Company, and the Rifle Regional Economic Development Corporation, the committee’s efforts works to promote economic growth and opportunities for the area.
Main Street Committee
Newly formed in September 2012, this committee is a collaboration between the Rifle Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Rifle, Rifle Downtown Development Authority, the Rifle Regional Economic Development Corporation, local businesses and volunteers. The committee is responsible for the Regional Main Street project in Western Garfield County and is currently working on 2013-2014 projects for Rifle’s downtown. The program will branch into New Castle and Parachute beginning in late 2013 and early 2014.
Rifle Recreation and Fitness Center Project Management Team
The team is working to enhance the health and wellness of the Rifle community and surrounding region through the construction of the Rifle Recreation and Fitness Center, as state-of-the-art community recreation facility.
